Trump Media announced today that more than ten Wall Street firms are paying up to $100,000 a month for early access to the president’s Truth Social posts. Not analysis, not commentary — just the posts themselves, a few seconds ahead of everyone else, while the company’s actual product keeps shrinking. Traffic to Truth Social is falling sharply this summer. Trump Media just booked a $238 million loss. The one thing still appreciating is the value of what gets typed into it a moment before the rest of us see it.

I keep setting this next to a story that’s been sitting quietly all month: Fed Chair Warsh going deliberately terse with markets, and traders responding by building “WarshGPT” models to reverse-engineer what he’s not saying. Two different answers to the same problem — Washington has become a volatility generator, and somebody with capital will always pay to shave the lag off. One market solved it with speculative inference. The other just bought the printer’s proof copy.

What I find almost admirable is how unbothered everyone is about naming it plainly. Nobody’s calling the $100K “insight.” It buys seconds — that’s the whole product, a company monetizing the fact that its founder’s stray thoughts move oil prices and tariff schedules, sold as openly as a Bloomberg terminal subscription. Orwell would enjoy watching “early access” do this much work as a euphemism.

Meanwhile CPI landed exactly at consensus today and nobody blinked, the latest session where a headline that would’ve rattled markets in April just gets absorbed. I don’t know which is stranger: the numbness, or the going rate for un-numbing yourself by thirty seconds.
